👉 What does it take to put this Live Music list together?
I have a list of over 50 venues and 160 musicians in a spreadsheet with their Facebook, Instagram & websites. There is no consistency when or where they share their gigs so I have to search each of their socials and websites as well as monitor socials. 🥴
This is not done by AI I assure you as it just can’t get it right. And I might miss some as you can imagine. Many venues think that posting the event the day before the event helps but what they don’t realize is that they get very little coverage by doing that and that their followers usually don’t seem them until well after the event.
Honestly this is what inspired me to create this newsletter 😉 This is where we come in to find and share so you don’t miss them. We are fortunate Las Cruces has one of the most dynamic live music scenes in New Mexico.

Genres: Let’s talk about Genres for the local musicians. A number of our subscribers asked if I could include the genre’s of the musicians so I put together a list of over 160 musicians and have tried my best to find their genres. But there are new artists coming in all the time and most venues don’t list their genres. If I know their genre I will include it. If you see one that I missed and you know their genre let me know please. I get it, it is really nice to know what type of music they play.
Note: Always confirm with the venue as there could be changes in their schedule. If I know the artists genre I will share it, some I don’t know.
