Hello Music Fans

To be honest I used to own a guitar and learned to play the piano when I was a teenager but the only thing I can play is the radio. I love watching American Idol and The Voice plus I am looking forward to Blake Shelton’s new music show!

I worked at a Ticket Agency in Orlando after I got out of the Coast Guard and I saw the need for a newsletter and I worked on creating “The Most Wanted List”. This was way before the internet and it just never happened for one reason or the other.

So it feels like destiny that I am here doing this now so many years later. I love sharing where you can find live music and local events. It’s not easy and it takes a lot of work searching a lot of websites and social media to find them.

I am just amazed at the number of shows and talented musicians that are here in Cruces! Hope you are enjoying the newsletter and thanks for being a subscriber.

🎷 I have had some our subscribers tell me that they would love to learn more about the local musicians and their music.

A few weeks back I shared that Alex Brinkley and Casey Chacon with KTAL 101.5 FM Community Radio started a new podcast series called Local Vibes Live. Their first podcast featured local musician Desirae Price. Check it out.

⏺ This Saturday June 28th KTAL is putting on an album release party for local musician and longtime radio host Teresa Tudury, at the Rio Grande Theatre. Tickets are $15 or $25 with a CD. Starts at 7 pm.

🚀 Sofia Talvik will be playing at Cruces Creatives on June 28th for a fundraiser and this should be a treat. Tickets $20. “Singer-songwriter and international touring artist, Sofia Talvik is a rare artist and an avid storyteller with a voice comparable to giants like Joni Mitchell”. Check out her Youtube channel.

👩‍🎤 Taylor Shines - The Laser Spectacular is at NMSU Pan American Center at 8 pm on Saturday June 28th in case you have any Taylor Swift fans at home. Tickets $40
