The Midweek Update

Hello Las Cruces,

Here comes the Sun and the Fun!

On the bright & tasty side… today is National Coconut Cream Pie Day. You can celebrate by baking your own or buy a pie or slice. Here’s a recipe. 🥧

And to work those calories from the pie off did you know that May is National Bike Month 🙂 so dust off those pedals and get outside.

In case you didn’t hear about the Sink Hole in Las Cruces that swallowed some cars and forced evacuation of their home.

The Picacho Art in the Garden Tour is this Saturday. See the Art Section This should be a fun event for art lovers especially if you like to get an up-close tour of your neighbor’s yards and landscaping.

The New Mexico Wine Festival is coming up for Memorial Day weekend May 25-27 so plan and get your ticket early.

Lots of local live music this weekend was just added. If I missed any let me know. Always amazed at how much good local music there is in Las Cruces. Check out the Music Section

On May 15, 1881 the first train 🚂 rolled into Las Cruces. This marked a significant moment in our city's history, connecting it to the wider world and ushering in a period of growth and development. Explore the historic neighborhood within walking distance of the train depot to learn about the architectural styles that came to town with those travelers.
