A New Restaurant Opened on El Paseo…

Chalkboard Menu is the name of the new restaurant. Braden Tidwell shared this on Facebook and it looks pretty good. They are located between Ross and Albertson’s back in the west corner where International Delights used to be.

A Old Diner… I mean a new Old Diner is coming to Hatch….

The owners of Sparky’s in Hatch has restored an original Valentine Diner from the late 1940’s. Pretty cool. Check it out.

Las Cruces High School Students Tackle Food Insecurity Through Community Initiatives….

Las Cruces High School (LCHS) empowers its students to combat food insecurity through hands-on initiatives like a food pantry and clothing closet.

With support from a $2,500 grant from the Albertsons Companies Foundation, students actively participate in monthly food distribution drive-thrus, packaging and distributing over 100 boxes of meals to families in need.

The program not only provides essential resources but also engages students in exploring food insecurity issues, designing actionable solutions, and sharing their experiences to inspire others in the community.

Through these efforts, LCHS fosters a sense of civic responsibility and awareness among its students, encouraging them to become engaged citizens. Read the Article
