Memorial Day Weekend Fun!

While we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember those who gave everything for our freedom.
✅ I'm rolling out a new approach to sharing events based on your feedback – and I'd love to hear what you think!
The Challenge
One of you reached out about a real problem: many events I share are posted only on Facebook or Instagram, making them inaccessible if you don't use those platforms. I completely understand this frustration!
My Solution
Starting today, here's how I'll handle event sharing:
✅ First choice: I'll always look for official websites, Eventbrite pages, or other direct links outside of social media
📸 When that's not available: I'll create screenshot captures of the Facebook/Instagram posts and save them to a cloud link, giving you all the essential details without needing those accounts
This way, everyone gets access to the same great event information, regardless of their social media preferences.

What's Buzzing Around Town…
🍷 The New Mexico Wine Festival returns to Las Cruces on May 24th - 26th at the Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds and is sure to be a lot of fun. Local Bands playing all weekend. 12 pm to 6 pm each day.
🎺 Mayor’s Jazz Festival is coming up this Sunday May 25th at Plaza de Las Cruces. Featuring the High School Jazz Orchestra and Hillary Smith & Chillhouse.
🎸 The 2025 Silver City Blues Festival is May 24th and 25th in Silver City. The lineup includes Bands from all over the US and includes many of your local favorites.
🥗 Taste of Las Cruces is coming up on June 5th at 5-8 pm at the Las Cruces Convention Center. Sample delicious flavors from local restaurants and food trucks and support Casa de Peregrinos food program.
🎸 Check out the Live Music events this week. Next issue comes out on Thursday. But we update it throughout the week as we find more events.
